Recap: 200 Runners, One Sunrise
Our biggest Saturday yet — five pace groups, a few personal bests, and coffee after.

Some Saturdays you can feel are going to be different before the sun even comes up. This was one of them. By 7:45am, more than 200 runners were gathered at the gate — the biggest turnout in the club's history, and easily the loudest.
The biggest Saturday yet
We've grown a lot since 2021, but numbers on a screen never quite land until you see them in one place: breath fogging in the cold, everyone bouncing on their toes waiting to set off. Two hundred people who chose this over a lie-in. That's the whole spirit of the club in a single image.
Five pace groups, one crowd
To keep it welcoming for everyone, we split into five pace groups — from an easy 6:30/km all the way to a fast bunch pushing 4:15s. No one runs alone and no one gets dropped; each group had a leader setting the pace and sweeping the back.
Personal bests everywhere
We saw first-ever 10Ks, comeback runs after injury, and more than a few personal bests. One member ran further than she ever had in her life and finished grinning ear to ear. That's what these mornings are for.
The part that isn't about running
If you asked the crowd afterwards what the best bit was, almost no one would say the running. It's the finish — the cheering, the high-fives, the slow walk to the café, and forty people crammed around too-small tables with coffee going cold because everyone's too busy talking.
Next time, you're in
Missed it? Don't worry — the next long run is already on the schedule, and every one of them is open to everyone. Turn up a few minutes early, find your pace group, and we'll take care of the rest. See you at the gate.

Reading about it is nice.
Running is better.
Come to your first run this week — every pace welcome, no one runs alone.
